    i have a 97 TJ i run a d35 with factory trac lock and a lockrite in the front on the street in 2 wheel drive i dont notice the locker at all the odd popping and clicking when making tight turns but no issues,on icy roads it becomes a handfull to drive

    am running 2.5 inch suspention lift a 2 inch body lift and 35x13.50x15 minor rubbing when worked hard can run 38s on the pavement but not offroad

    i run 13.50 on 8 inch rims no issues off road will drop them to 5 psi havent had a bead come off yet no bead locks either

    never had an issue with the windsheild cracking from defoster running too long might of had a chip under the rubber from the install.we get -30 degree weather a lot jeep runs sometimes for 2 hours with defroster on high no cracks 195 degree thermostat in engine

    wasnt that much effort about 10 mins of looking.I am currently running a D35 rear axle and have not had issues yet but i do hear noises coming from it once in a while.i use the jeep as a DD and trail/mud toy.I dont think this axle will stand up to rock trails,i would not spend any money on a d35...

    catalitic converter?

    no emissions testing were i live i just welded a short piece of pipe( with a bung to fit stock o2 sensor) to the outside of the glass pack the sensor gets heat from the exhaust but is sealed in the pipe runs good no check engine light.

    also if you go the ford 8.8 route look for one from 95 to 2000 they have disc brakes.an open ford 8.8 can be locked for about $100.00 using a mini spool

    it should work. i know a guy that used wire ties two on the axle on each side of the collar. was supposed to be a temp fix to get off trail but it is still working
