I'm running a 60" steel whip antenna on my TJ which I mounted in the stock tire carrier bolt holes and ran the cable through the gasket where the wire for the stock tire carrier goes through the tailgate. Thats wired up to a compact Cobra 19 DX IV 40 channel CB.

I placed mine below the glove box tucked back in the corner by the trans hump on the passenger side. There is a metal lip under the plastic molding that gives you a great place to tap some screws into, and no one whos ridden there has had an issue with clearance..

I just ordered a Hi-Lift protector cover for my jack mounted externally, but once I got it, not only do I have to chop it up due to the fact I have a 60", but it just doesn't fit in my brackets how I want it to. So I'd like to see if anyone out there has a neoprene cover they'd like to trade...

I opted to go with a 60" Hi-Lift, and so that eliminated mounting it inside my TJ, so, since I don't have a winch (and if I ever do get one I will be getting a new bumper anyway), I decided to use a set of locking bolt on mounts to mount it on the top of the front bumper and will be keeping it...
