I use my Flitz ball to keep repair sun fade on my hardtop and to clean up head/tail light plascits. I think it would work well in this application...

    CB Antenna?

I've never tried it, but if you could use one double wrapped antenna to pull both signals, how awesome would that be? I don't see why you couldn't use a CB antenna for AM/FM though.. Here's what I found on the topic: 3-WAY (AM/FM/CB) ANTENNA Good luck on your project, and I'd be interested...

    What CB antenna/radio...

I'm running a 60" steel whip antenna on my TJ which I mounted in the stock tire carrier bolt holes and ran the cable through the gasket where the wire for the stock tire carrier goes through the tailgate. Thats wired up to a compact Cobra 19 DX IV 40 channel CB.

Where do you have your CB radio mounted

I placed mine below the glove box tucked back in the corner by the trans hump on the passenger side. There is a metal lip under the plastic molding that gives you a great place to tap some screws into, and no one whos ridden there has had an issue with clearance..

How did you mount your Hi-Lift?

So, here is how my project finally turned out mounting the 60" Hi-Lift like I mentioned at the beginning of the thread... Then I threw together a license plate holder that comes off when you need it to- just bolts on with the jack but sturdy enough not to move or rattle... It came out...

Hi Lift cover in San Diego

I just ordered a Hi-Lift protector cover for my jack mounted externally, but once I got it, not only do I have to chop it up due to the fact I have a 60", but it just doesn't fit in my brackets how I want it to. So I'd like to see if anyone out there has a neoprene cover they'd like to trade...

    New to the site

Hi there, welcome to the forum! Lots of good info here.. As far as the rims and tires, I'd check your local www.craigslist.org listings. I search auto parts and type in Jeep, and find useful stuff a lot at pretty decent and flexible prices. Hope it helps you out a bit. Enjoy the forums, I...

How did you mount your Hi-Lift?

Thats exactly what I was going to do had I gotten the 48" Jack.. I'm still going to fab a shelf like you have there though.

How did you mount your Hi-Lift?

I opted to go with a 60" Hi-Lift, and so that eliminated mounting it inside my TJ, so, since I don't have a winch (and if I ever do get one I will be getting a new bumper anyway), I decided to use a set of locking bolt on mounts to mount it on the top of the front bumper and will be keeping it...

    Winch Wishing...

I'm with Wrangler76, been wanting to try out the Smittybuilt... Not running a winch on my TJ right now, but its an investment I'd like to add not to far in the future.

    06 seat height..

Hockey pucks? Thats awesome! Hadn't thought of that. I checked into that site mentioned above and the guy called me this morning. His 1 1/2 inch lift is $65, then shipping (about $11) and CA sales tax. On the upside he offers a 10% Military discount, but I opted to do my own thing and not...
