    Stolen Doors!!

You could put the nut on the bottom of the doors, but then the theif only has to unscrew 6 bolts and he has a new set of doors and hinges! The full doors in Q-tec are prolly not color matched to your vehicle. So if you plan on getting matching ones from the dealership... plan on paying more...

    Couple of questions

Yeah, what Tug said. Don't order the shaft until the lift is on and everything is bolted in place. THAT INCLUDES THE NEW BELLY-UP SKIDPLATE whether you buy or fab one. That will change the height of the t-case and thus change the length of the driveshaft. The driveshaft should be the last...

    got another one for ya...

My YJ guage does the same thing. A good rule of thumb is to reset your tripmeter so you know how many miles you get out of a tank. Then you can always check against your mileage. C

Wanting to run 33's on my 93 YJ (need suspension education)

yeah, if you want bigger tires, say g-bye to that 18mpg gas mileage. If you want to keep it mild, I'd go with a 2.5" lift and 31" all-terrains. You shouldn't lose too much mileage that way and your Jeep will look good. I have the Hell Creek kit and love it; I have 33's under it and love it...

    best color for a yj

I'm a personal fan of black. Go check out my website for some ideas. Watch out for the pop-ups, though. I also like the olive drab green. What color is the interior? That could make a difference. Corey

    Grand Cherokee Advice

Yeah, I know the 4.0 is a solid motor and proven, but I also have a 2500 lb boat & trailer. With 5 people in the vehicle (extra 1000 lbs.) and the boat + gear, I'd be more comfortable knowing I have the power to get up the bridges in town without power loss. Plus, it would add the option of...

    Grinding into Reverse... grrrr

You're not rolling when you do it are you? I find that by putting it in 4th, then going immediately to Reverse it goes without grinding. Could prolly use any gear, but 4th is easy to find. Try it. c

    91 YJ in trouble

I've seen the sun... 70's for the past 3 weeks! Lovin' it. Vasily, if it's from the passenger side and it's motor oil (not transmission fluid or t-case fluid) I would first change your oil filter. The next easy check would be the valve cover and gasket. But in all cases, drain the remaining...

    Lift on my '95 YJ

    Most, but not all. If it's not 4.11, then it's 3.73. C

    Grand Cherokee Advice

Hey guys. I usually don't venture over to this side of the forums. I own a 1989 Wrangler, but am looking at a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo, 5.2L V8, 4wd, 88K miles, $7900. What I need to know is what to look for. Is there anything inherently good/bad about this vehicle that I need to look at...

From 4 to 6, what it took me. FYI

Why did you opt for the carb as opposed to the FI? Just curious. C

    SUBMERGED JEEP

First of all... bad idea leaving the motor running while only several feet away from the most destructive force on the planet. Water! Go the insurance route. Unless you have another vehicle to drive while you do the v8 swap and the Jeep is purely recreational, it's not gonna be worth it...

Scrambler with a new 4.0L I-6, Atlas 4:1 tcase, and Dana 44 front and Dana 60 dynatrac rear. Coil springs with enough lift to clear 35" Goodyear MTRs. Put a Detroit in the rear and an ARB selectable up front. Hi clearance steering and skidplates for all. Simple, capable, and streetable. C

    New lift on the way...

Twisted, I just answered your PM. But nice deal. The Hell Creek website posts that kit for 495. So you got a sweet deal. Don't be surprised if the springs show up at your door separate from the kit. That's how mine came. It's because the springs are made by Laher Spring Corp. (Tom Laher...

    Poser 4x4 notice:

Yep, 2 guys I work with are getting it. One has a 7 with 8 inches of lift, 38s, and still has the 2 piece axle out back. Ha! I took him mudding one time, and the smallest flex caused his tire to start chewing the fender. He stopped and went home. The other guy has 35s on a 2-piece Model 20...

If the election where held today....

Superlift TV Agree. I always read those labels. With a pregnant wife, when I'm grocery shopping... (yes, that makes my YJ a grocery-go-getter) I have to check to make sure that there's low or no sodium in the foods I buy. I did not know that the Ceasar Salad was so crappy, but with all that...

If the election where held today....

Jps, First, let's remember this is all a friendly discussion of personal views. Also, let's not take things out of context. I didn't say we need to close down McD's, Hardees, stop airing TV programs, nor implement a mandatory exercise program. I'm saying that it's all about choices. I love...
