    Hell Creek Suspensions

Haven't got a pic, yet. It bent behind the front axle right in front of the hanger. *edit - It's a taco bend, not a negative arch bend and it's on the main leaf.* It's only a minor bend... I can still drive it to work, but that side of the Jeep is about 1" higher and I know that it makes the...

    Hell Creek Suspensions

Tire Size This past weekend I went wheeling in the Hurricane Charley muck. While running through the ruts, my front passenger tire got shoved into a deeper than expected rut and bent that spring. It was taco'ed a little, but I was able to make the 20 mile drive home. So I called Tom Laher...

    Lifting more... Driveline concerns

I don't think you are supposed to shim the axle (and thus change the pinion angle) when you're running a CV driveshaft? Don't the pinion angle and the TC yoke need to be parallel? I would wait and just get 3" lift springs, that way you'll be lifted plenty and you KNOW you'll need a longer...

Fuel pump or O2 problem? Updated! More advice needed.

If the o-ring is busted, it probably won't leak gas, but rather air. Yes, air. You need the air tight seal to pressurize the line. Otherwise there's no pressure keeping the fuel in the line and it will all empty back into the tank, thus not reaching your throttle body. Also, I didn't mean...

    2.5 exhaust manifold bolt question

Weird, My rear bolt on my 2.5L manifold is also missing. I noticed it when re-routing my exhaust in front of the oil sump. If anybody knows the length and thread count of this bolt, please post it. Thanks. Corey

Fuel pump or O2 problem? Updated! More advice needed.

I'd go even cheaper than that, by starting with replacing the Fuel Filter. Also, have you ever had to drop your gas tank and replace the fuel sock and/or sending unit? If not, then now might be a good time to drop it. It's pretty simple. Try to run the Jeep out of gas (dropping a full tank...

    YJ Track-bars

CB Cobra 29 Ltd ST Best offer Bob (in Las Vegas), I took have the Hell Creek kit on my YJ. Yeah, you should keep the front trackbar if you're jeep is more than 50% on road. It's easy enough to loosen one bolt and zip-tie the front trackbar up, out of the way for a day of trail-riding...

    Is the Unlimited worth Buying?

I think it was last month's JP magazine, the inside cover was skyjacker ad with an Unlimited on a 4" long arm suspension lift and 33's.... that thing is bad. You bet I'd buy one. I agree that it's nice to have the extra option of a LWB wrangler. But when (not if) when they come out with a...

93 YJ rear leaf spring compatability

They are not compatible. I know this 100% for sure. When I lifted my YJ, an XJ friend wanted my springs for the same reason... so I gave them to him, but they were the wrong length. It's a "no-go". Corey

    Home Stretch!

My jeep was 14 years old when I finally got a lift. Impact took the nut off and the big hammer took the arm off. Bounty is right... there's a sweet spot. Patience and lots'o'hammer. Corey

    33" vs. 35" Tires

35's are definitely a whole new ball game. I'd stick with 33's and start saving for a Ford 8.8 or a rear 44 before thinking about 35's. The day my D35 snaps... I'm getting an 8.8 from www.ok4wd.com... brand new with 4.10 gears, disc brakes, and limited slip for less than a grand. corey

    My first mod attempt

M/T baja claw radial tires.. 31x10.50x15 Sparky, How is the 3rd brake light required? What if you don't have a 3rd brake light? My 89 YJ doesn't have a 3rd light. Would I be illegal in your state? I would re-check you state laws. suspicious, Corey

    my jeeps smokin like cheech

Did you ever think it's blowing oil BECAUSE you're doing 85? If your screen name is any indication that your jeep is an '05, then I'd take it to the dealer... and there's no need to get there 10 seconds earlier.... you're gonna have to wait like 5 days to get it back. corey

    15x8... enough?

Yeah, 8" wide rims are fine up to 12" wide tires. Your other option to painting new chrome center caps, is not buying any. Or, maybe you can find some used for cheap. I'd hate to paint something brand new. Corey

a few questions about wheels and tires

33x10.50's will definitely fit with a 4" susp. lift. At least with stock wheels. Because under full stuff, the wheel comes inside the fender well. But this is only true if you install the bumpstop extensions. I have 4.5" lift and I could fit 35's (with my bumpstops installed) but my 2.5L...
