Took it to the garage and had them scan the OBDII. They came up with 2 codes stored in the memory, P0463 & P0132. I thought the O2 code was due to me unplugging it the other day. They then did a data log on the sensor outputs and it showed the O2 sensor data was very erratic (lean, rich, lean...

I dropped it off at the garage I use for repairs I can't do on my own or don't have the time. I provided them with a list of what was completed already completed. I'll provide an update as soon as they have completed their diagnosis.

**UPDATE** Unplugged the O2 sensor this morning for my trip to work and unplugged the air temp sensor. The Jeep still hesitated and studdered as before but it wasn't as rough as usually (the hesitation usually won't stop until you let off the throttle, this time is hesitated but I didn't let off...

The plugs for 1 & 2 looked fine as well as the wires. The plugs for 3 & 4 looked fine but there was corrosion inside the boots for both plugs By unplugging the O2 sensor, this causes the EUC to go into OPEN2 loop according to the scanner. It seems like the issue is related to the primary OPEN...

the shudder occurs later (~ 2 miles down the road) not at first start and take-off like before. Once it's up to 210*, the shudder doesn't occur and runs great. The other sensor I'm leaning towards now is the Intake Air Temp sensor. The reason for the thought process is when I removed the...

    All gears studder

Ahhhhhhhh  So driving home from work and the jeep started the "miss" again. It's not immediate after start up like it was prior to the coolant temp sensor change. It started about 2 miles down the road before I got on the interstate. Completed the following: - Cleaned the grounds I...

    All gears studder

UPDATE: cleaned all the grounds under the hood (some were in worse shape than others). Took the jeep for a test drive and the same hesitation was there. For sh*ts and giggles, I decided to remove the coolant temp sensor. It had a lot of build up on the end and was very dis colored. I had a new...

    All gears studder

*UPDATE* The jeep has the same studder in all gears until it is warmed up to operating temp. I'll be going through the grounds this weekend to clean them up. If the problem continues after the cleaning, this leads me to the (1) Coolant Temp Sensor, (2) PCM, or (3) the heater curcuit for the O2...

ok guys, just swapped out the truck battery. Before finalizing the install, I touched the positive cable to the negative post for 30 secs. Finished the install and fired the jeep up for a quick run around the block. Took off from the driveway and first didnt stumble but as soon as I shifted into...

The truck battery is being put in tonight (needed the truck this morning and didn't want to swap the batteries and run a risk of being stranded)

The truck battery is 850CCA. I'll run the jeep tomorrow to the Advance Auto here by work to have them load test it also

stopped by AutoZone today and had the battery load tested. They tried 3 times and it showed fail on the test. Before buying a new battery, I'm pulling the battery out of my truck and run it for a few days (battery is less than 6 mos old).

JPN, As always, I appreciate the help. Since I'm off tomorrow, I'll begin working on the items you listed. I pass an AutoZone on my way home from work. I'll stop there tonight, get the battery load tested, and report the results. I will also use the multi-meter on the battery again "cold" and...

Have you reset your PCM since correcting the O2 issue? I pulled the pos terminal off for about 2 mins after changing out the O2 sensor Also the battery and grounds? I used a multi-meter on the battery and was getting 13.2v without the engine running and 14.1 when the engine was running You...

Guess the thermo has a bearing on the PCM during open/closed loop? Guess I'm trying to understand why a thermo or temp would cause the studder. I had a thermo fail open in my 03 F-150 and it just took longer to warm up, not studder or stumble

    All gears studder

I'll check the temp sensor to see what the ohm reading is. I drove the jeep in this morning and paid closer attention to the engine temp and issue. On initial take-off, the RPMs are high when the clutch is pressed in. Once the temp starts to come up, the idle smooths out. This morning it took...

JPN, no DTCs have been detected. It's gets to 210 in about the same time as yours. I haven't done anything recently other changing the O2 sensor a couple weeks ago (from the previous thread). Battery hasn't been load tested. Might run it over to AutoZone to have them test it. Terminals have been...
