    Questions about Wrangler vs Cherokee

The Wrangler is a hell of a lot of fun, whereas the Cherokee is a little more practical... so, basically, what everyone else is saying. If you need space, don't go with the Wrangler. It's probably the one and only regret I have about buying mine, other than that, it's been a blast.

    Tires Choices

I'm a pretty big fan of the Wrangler DuraTrac, myself... great looking tire, too.

Fantasy Jeep off road build up

Y'know what my only dream is right now? Putting my summer rims and tires back on! six months of looking stock! I've got the same size tires on my stock rims, but I went from AT's to a road tire. granted, they were free, and my steering wheel doesn't shake anymore, but damn....

$1,000 for the KM? Ouch... I'd have gotten you out the door for well under $700...

    New Jeep owner here

I thought about upgrading the whole system with some of those speaker pods, but space is already at a premium in a TJ, not to mention I don't care to have any of my stuff get stolen if I choose to leave the top down overnight.

    New Jeep owner here

I replaced the head unit on my '05 TJ and the speakers got clearer, but my stock subwoofer got weaker. Kinda sucks.

    No heat!

Installed a new stereo last week, and now there's no heat in the Jeep! I had to pull the climate controls when I put the new deck in, and everything works except the temperature knob. Everything's plugged in right, as far as I know. Any other ideas?

    Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac Tires

I know a couple local Jeepers that are running them, they're happy so far. I was real impressed by the tech specs. I know they're rated better for ride comfort and snow handling than the MT/R with Kevlar, and the Off-Road Traction rating is only slightly less.

I think I am fixin' to purchase a Jeep

My soft-top windows look like hell, but I haven't really bothered to take good care of them since they came that way from the dealer... I run a hardtop half the year anyway, and I'll just upgrade to a Supertop in a year or two.

So I got these rear shocks...

They were free from another Jeeper, and I'm trying to find out if they're any good. They're stock-size shocks, and he said they'd work since my Jeep isn't lifted. Anyway, they're Edelbrock IAS TwinTubes. Anybody know if these are any kind of good?

    Yeah, a hard top!

    Smoking Battery?

Yeah, that get alternator checked. If the Jeep is running only on the battery with no alternator, the battery will get super hot, and possibly explode.

Total Dummy YJ Question, re: Tires

Depending on the size of the rims, you may need to upgrade. I'm running 31x10.50R15's on 15x8 rims, fit is pretty nice. I'm not sure what the offset is. You may see some rub with the 12.50 width.

    Blower motor problems

Just finished it up! Thanks for all the help, fellas. Took me and my dad about 2 hours, amateur mechanics that we are. Actually a complete pain in the neck (and back!), but the Green Machine finally has blower settings again. Oh, and I got the part at NAPA for $22... sorry Randy, lol.

    Auto Zone is absolutely terrible.

Goodyear Wrangler MT/R vs BFG MT KM2

I refuse to believe that the MT/R with Kevlar could ever be quiet on the highway. SO much air displacement going on in that tread design!
