    Lift suggestions

Sorry guys, me and Josh are just doing a "thang" here. Well, Josh my friend, I am doing quite well. Thank you for asking. I hope you are enjoying a blessed life. Okay, back to the thread...

    Lift suggestions

Guys, correct me here if I'm wrong but if yOozahOe519 got a 4-banger didn't it come with 4.11 gears? If that's the case and looking at the chart I posted going even up to 33" tires isn't going to make that drastic of a difference. Do some real good research on before investing much into...

    Lift suggestions

Well, it looks like budget is not going to be a problem for you. As explained by xt master, a "budget boost" is an entry level suspension lift consisting of coil spring spacers and extended length shock absorbers, in the $200-$400 neighborhood. However, I think you'll be happier in the long run...

    Lift suggestions

I realize you are seeking information specific to your rig but if you do a Search you will find tons of '97-'06 TJ lift info/suggestions. Obviously, you are in the ballpark for something along the lines of a "budget boost" and/or maybe a 1" body lift. Other than that...give us some more...

    Opinions on spring spacer lifts

Good advice from Bounty_Hunter. No problem going this route to gain a little extra clearance for taller tires. Since most "budget boost" kits are pretty much the same, I think I'd look at sourcing the coil spacers separately from companies like Daystar, (see Poly Performance...

    white oil on dipstick

I know you can check out a Coolant Pressure Tester w/adapters through Autozone's Lone-A-Tool Program. I did this a while back and saved the bucks for a tool I wouldn't use that often.

    white oil on dipstick

Could be a small amount of water got passed the o-ring seal at the top of the dip stick or the dip stick wasn't fully seated. However, the only way to really know what's going on is to change the oil. Cheap enough and easy enough to do. Otherwise your just speculating may find that waiting...

    bolt stuck!! BAD!!

Easily enough to clean the area to be welded while still allowing the penetrating oil to work but either way will work. If you heat the bolt while welding on a nut won't that cause the bolt to expand locking the threads even tighter into the surrounding metal? If you were using heat wouldn't...

    bolt stuck!! BAD!!

Just for added luck, why not soak that sucker with some real good creepy oil, like Kroil or PB Blaster and let it set overnight. Might help threads turn if you can get a nut welded on.

    Gear Question

You know, I just looked up a source on line and can't remember who it was. They listed two housings for the D35. Depending on which gear set you were using one listed for around $50, the other one listed for higher numerical gears, about $175. I was just trying to give Leroy some food for...

    ac/heat blower problem

Like I said, I'm not trying to diss afgd2, just offering unsolicited advice. It is a lot easier to get a point across if it can be easily read and understood. Typing in all lower case with no punctuation is just a bad habit to get into...IMHO.

    ac/heat blower problem

Huh? I'm not trying to be a smart-azz and am glad you are joining in. However, while most of us are not English scholars here, capitalization, punctuation, spell check and a quick proof read will make your posts a little more intelligible.

    ac/heat blower problem

Somebody much smarter than me will chime in here with the right fix but esentially the HVAC systems is vacuum controled and if there's a problem, vent mode is the default position the mix door will divert to. At least that's my understanding. Now we wait for someone with brains to tell us how...

    Gear Question

But remember the D30 carriers are 2.72-3.54 and 3.73-5.38, the D35 has a carrier break between 3.31 and 3.55, so to get a 4.10 or 4.56 gear set he's gotta buy new housings as well. Not a major expense here but Leroy says it cost an arm and a leg getting parts ship via Military USPS to...

    Gear Question

Man, good luck with your upgrades and I hope you can find some deals where you're at. I apologize for not reading the Quadratec ad earlier but we still had some good discussion and I even learned something. I think you'll enjoy the added traction the Ox is going to provide off road but...

    Gear Question

Well crap. I guess I should have started by reading the Quadratec ad. If you have C-clip axles, what about the Super 35 with the Ox Locker package? I don't see the same requirement there.
