    Perhaps I'm too simple minded....

Superj- I've used mine a few times, here's how it works: You get VERY stuck ... Find an anchor point such as a tree, you'd wrap your tree saver around the anchor point and connect the snatch block to the tree saver. Your winch line then gets fed through the snatch block and back to your rig...

    smitty built winches

I bought an XRC8, and I love it, the price is right, and I've used it quite a lot since I purchased it two months ago. I don't think I'd spend the money on a Warn to be honest .

    Bent control arm bracket

Thanks jaydub, ya by the looks of your rear axel welding, there won't be a problem on my front axel lol it bugs me how dealers are never straight with you, I actually got into a yelling match with the parts guy who insisted that it was "impossible" to weld the housing...just cause I like the guy...

    Bent control arm bracket

Looking for some advice on this, the bracket that houses my lower control arm is bent as seen in the attached pic, now my dealer is telling me I need a new axel ( surprise surprise) I'm wondering can I unbolt the control arm and straighten out the bracket ? Will it break if I bend it back? And...

    What would you do...

I would buy a big ass dog and let him ride In the front seat- Solution=if the dog didn't detour the kid from throwing a shake in your jeep, then maybe the dog would bite him/chase him...and if that didn't work...then you have a companion to clean off your seat for ya !

    removing stabilizer link bars---

There is a ton more articulation taking place when your offroad, which means they are moving around in all directions, they will wear out very quick, don't ask me how I learned this lesson lmao :-)

    removing stabilizer link bars---

I would think a little bit of play would be alright as long as your not driving on rough roads or off roaring with them connected, mine are buggered and they have play in them, I disconnect them in town and trails, and connect them for high way driving.

    removing stabilizer link bars---

Just had the same problem with mine few days ago, put a jack under the front bumper and jack up your suspension, that should put enough stress on the little ball joint to seat it enough to take the nut off. A BIG pry bar came in handy as well lol

    Roof rack on a TJ??

Have any of you out there installed a roof rack to your hard top on a TJ ? My jeep dealer is saying I shouldn't because it'll crack my hard top...and I'm not completely sold on that theory. I would like to install one to carry my kayak/light gear, my theory is if it's installed with care, there...
