    Voltage regulator?

Have not read all the posts, but did you check the volts with a voltmeter? The stock dial is crap. Mine drops about 2V if I turn on the AC, but if you measure with a digital voltmeter at the battery, it drops 0.01 if anything at all...

    KM2 vs Krawlers KX

They both have similar thread patterns, but I understand the Krawler is a softer compund, meaning more grip, but faster wear. I personally have run KM2's, and they are fairly quit (for an MT) and do relatively well on mud. For the deep goey stuff, i just put chains over them, but most of the...

    91 yj won't start

Check the injector connector to be sure thats workimg. Also checknyou have the right fuel pressure (it is possible yours is low). Since you have spark, the only other culprit coul be a bad sensor (crank position sensor or cam position sensor would be my first suspects, but I am not too...

no fender flares plus 2' body lift = 33' tires?

TJs have larger openings, which is why TJ flares were mentioned... With what you suggest, you will rub on the rear when offroading. Heck, I got 4 inches of suspension lift and I STILL rub at max flex when wheeling.

    Wrangler YJ Throttle/Accelerator Sticking!!

I was gonna say it could be your power steering pump going bad (it whines when it does), but your last post leads me to believe the problem is the transmission or TC. My first advice would be to check all fluids (transmission and TC). From what I have read, rebuilt AX-5's are not so reliable...

clueless newbie needs more help please!

I think he means a targa top... OK, install the rear part, and make sure it is well aligned. Bolts should fall right onto the holes; if you have to bang on them, it's not centered right. When you install the front part, tighten first the rear part (the one that connects to the rear shell of...

What do you keep in your jeep?

I forgot to mention a cable to connect 2 bateries in series, welding goggles, and welding sticks. This is my emergency trail welding equipment (along with the junper cables and a vise-grip that I always carry as well).

    newbie needs help

I ran 31's on stock (tired) suspension, and I would rub on the street if anyone else got in the Jeep (or at the slightest bump) - By the way, mine had American Racing Outlaws II when I got her. Like stated before, if you trim, they will fit without rubbing. Still, I would probably go with a...

Try loosening the top bolts and manhandling the top into the right position... Sounds like you just need to move it a notch.

    cooling troubles!

I dont agree with this one; with no thermostat, you will run TOO cool, and this will wear out the engine faster (engines like to operate at a certain temperature; in our case, at around 190*), and will also increase fuel economy because the ECU will not detect that the engine has reached...

    Newbie Suspension Question

The spacer lift will lift the rig to allow for a larger tire, but it does not improve the suspension (if anything, it makes it slightly worse because of the angles of the control arms, but still acceptable). For moderate offroad, i think you are fine, but if you are going to more aggressive...

Here's a shot of me coming out of a small mud bog... This was a 2 day wheeling trip near the border with Nicaragua. We actually ran this trail again 2 weeks later!
