    AMC 20 IS in TJ

Just an idea but check out throwing some rubicon dana 44's under your tj. These are pretty bullet proof. And probably wouldn't be a huge amount of adapting. We chose scout axles with arbs. Great setup that has held up against any abuse we can throw at them. Good luck.

Might as well upgrade my axle shafts

Not sure what your long term goals are for your jeep setup and off roading but you might be able to find rubicon dana 44 axles or scout axles you could throw under your jeep and not be that much different in price from upgrading to stronger shafts? Just an idea. I once was faced with that option...

    Poppin outta reverse

Pops out now that you got your lift? Could be your synchronizers or your shift rod is hitting somewhere now. Did you put a body lift on it?

    73 cj5 brake question

Sure thing. Leaf over axle lifts in my opinion are not the way to go on jeeps. If you keep your jeep mostly off road then this would be the only way I would consider. They may be a cheap and an easy way to get a good size lift capable of big meats like 36" tires under your jeep but I hear they...

    Rough Country Suspension

Hi. Rough Country suspension has the reputation of being just that a rough ride. Specially on older jeeps! But usually the price is good. If you can afford the extra cost Skyjacker is one of our favorite. Good ride and great off road! Good luck!

    73 cj5 brake question

Hi. I have a 73 cj5 also and traded my front axle out to a scout so now I have disk up front. If your planing on running larger tires and doing some off roading this may be a good option for you because this is a rugged dana 44 axle. I have heard of people adapting disk brakes only from scouts...

    Kinda stupid question.

Not stupid. Everyone starts somewhere. No fluid in the drive shaft. You may be thinking of taking off the rear pinion yoke. Just use a 1/2" wrench to take off the 4 nuts on both ends holding the drive shaft in place. There is plenty of places online that have instructions on how to do this and...

    Lockers and gears

One thing to keep in mind is if you go with dana 60's or 70's your going to loose ground clearance vs dana 44's. Not sure the exact amount but believe is between and inch or two. Dana 44's will handle 37" tires no prob!~ Unless running nitrous and 700hp! Not sure on the Aussie but we sell...
