well there goes battery number 2. got another battery used it all day went to start it up about an hour ago and its toast now too......i am seriously gonna toss this relay soon.

wow sully, i hope that all is well. i was having the same symptoms a few years ago, and it turned out to be a problem with my jaw.

it is really tough to explain sound through words, but i will try anyhow because i think that i am having the same problem. when you would down shift coming up to a stop sign or whatever at low rpms would it sound like almost a gurfling sound? thud, thud, thud and if you didnt know any better...

found out that it was a dana 35 from a 87 wrangler......finally found a jeep dealer that could actually help me. glad that is over with now, i thought that i was never going to find the right bearing.

the drawings are a little sketchy but it is looking like i have a dana 44!!!! just one more question, for those with the d35 is your dif fluid drain plug a screw in deal or just a rubber plug that pops in. i remember in my other wrangler that it was a rubber piece, and in this one its a screw on...

i had a thread about a week ago about excessive play in my axel shaft. i took it apart and discovered that the bearings were shot. i tried 4 different bearings and they are all too small. the boys at napa were stumped, and so was i. so today i took it to the stealership today to see if they had...

so i called the dealer and they said that it cant be the bearing, it has to be the c-clip. i tried to explain to him that my axle does not have a c-clip and he told me that there is only one type of dana 35 axle and it has a c-clip :roll: ........i guess that i will just have to tear it apart...

ok i got a dana 35 non c-clip. i am getting excessive axle shaft play on the passenger side. the shaft moves about 1/2 inch in and out of the axle tube. any ideas...... also where can a guy buy the inner seals for the axle......i have checked advance auto, autozone with no luck????
