    '47 CJ2A build

Cleaned out all the garbage out of it, found a Utah license plate in the toolbox. Then it was time to get it running. First thing I did was rewire the the mess of a harness. I had a combination of 60 plus year old original wires with many many cut and splice wires, some that went in circles...

    '47 CJ2A build

This will be the even slower build for my 1947 Willys-Overland CJ2A. Honest, it followed me home! 1947 CJ2A with (What I was told) a 1953 "F" head 134c.i. motor. Came from Utah and been in Ohio for 8 years or so. Did not run and the reason he stopped driving it was because it needed a fuel...

Found out the frame was a CJ5 built in February 1960. I then put the frame in the garage and removed everything. I wire brushed/sand blasted the frame a painted it. When finished with that, I placed axles under it temporarily, easier to move around. Put on the 33's and hooked up the steering...

    CJ2A Truck build.

I had a CJ2A that was beyond rebuilding as the rust claimed a lot of it.It was cut up and the pieces I saved went on the frame to see if it would work. ( first 3 photos) I started work on the frame, cutting the 3 feet overhang of the rear

    CJ2A Truck build.

I have come to the conclusion that it is a late 50's/early 60's CJ5 frame that was extended 2 feet in the middle and 3 feet added to the end. For what purpose I have no idea and neither does the previous owner. He bought it from his neighbor and she cannot recall what her late husbands plans...
