Sears and Montgomery Ward both had pretty comprehensive automotive departments. I once bought a rebuilt 225 ci slant six Dodge engine from Montgomery Ward...and they installed it as well. Worked great in my 1964 Dodge Dart.

At first I thought "Patriot Jeepers" referred only to folks who had the Jeep Patriot...duh! on my part! BTW...I love anything to do with Patriotism for our country. It is sadly becoming a lost sentiment with all of this "globalism" nonsense.

I know you said it was coming from the middle of the dash, but you might check the factory stereo speakers on either side of the dash. Mine were loose, and the location of the sound was hard to pinpoint at first. They are held fast by a couple of small nuts and bolts attached to the speaker grill.

If I had the room I would get an XJ to keep the YJ and MJ company. Maybe when my wife's Toyota needs replacing....hmmmm!
