Get the class III receiver. you will be thankful. Anyone can install one, it uses the gas tank skid plate mount bolts. 1/2 hour with a friend and a wrench and you can have it installed.

    Jeep Trailer???

My son... I'd hack it at the firewall. it would look so much cooler and give you some real usable space. I'd put half doors on it and leave them workable for easier loading. If you really want to have fun, leave the windshield on it and install a soft top....

My jeep vs. his soccer mom buggy

being a ZJ driver and having driven an XJ offroad too I'll take the ZJ. it has a much softer riide which means you dont feel the bumps as much, and the coils are soo darned flexy. THey are equally as capable of climbing over an obstacle. There are times where longer wheel base is better.

    sway bar

If you are runnign stock sway bar links, save some $$$ - go to home depot and buy a 2 hitch pins I think 5/8"x2 1/2" is the right size, 2 washers for each and a clip for each. Remove the lower bolts form the links and replace with the pins. I did this and it works great - cost about $7

    I feel the need...

RE: **UPDATE** Therein lies your problem.. If you are in full-time 4WD (or any 4WD mode) - your front end will buck at a hard turn due to the U-joints binding. This is perfectly normal. CV joints, while weaker than U-joints, do not exhibit these symptoms by design - that is why they started...
