    Axle probs YJ Please help

    what year YJ do you have? Motor size? Transmission type? Tire size? The 39-11 is a 3:55 mostly comes on six cyl with auto transmission. The 37-9 is a 4:11 which comes on 4cyl with standard transmission. I would go with the 4:11.

    The weaker bearings are on the 2 piece axels that came on CJ's. I've seen 20's running 44's without problems. Do yourself a favor and dump the auto lock hubs. There known to grenade under load.

    Your going to have to go to the junkyard to get one. I couldn't find any for 91 and up. I bet it split in top corner in the middle of the radius. I'm on my third one.     whats a good 4.0L header

    Go with a steel header. The stainless headers crack (stock,borla,ect) too easy around the welds and are difficult to repair. The stainless is too thin. Ebay has alot of listings and types posted.

    The 20 is just as good as a9". The wagoneers were using this set up with 360's under the hood. Not to mention alot of extra weight. I'm running the same axels.     Two Problems I am having with my '95 YJ!

    When you remove the pan check the bolt holes on the pan to make sure they are flat. If not flatten them out with a block of wood and a hammer. I had the same problem with mine. Flattened the holes and sealed it with permatex ultra seal. It's a little harder to clean when replacing the filter...

    YJ specs???

    the renegade has larger composite fenders than the other YJ's. You can't install aftermarket flares to a renegade. The 87 yj had a lot of problems with the clutch slave.

    keeping YJ front speakers dry

    Radio comes out in 5 minutes (6 or 8 screws). I haven't removed the speakers yet.
