    Rough Country 4" lift

Aussie Locker I had a friend with this kit and he liked it. His jeep spent a lot of time airborne and the springs never sagged. It's a little stiff on the street but you can live with it.

Reset maintenance required light 1992 Wrangler

It's triggered by odometer. I never found mine. Eventually the lite burnt out. Not sure how critical it is to change o2 sensor. Mine lasted 190,000 miles without any mileage or performance loss.

    Blown 2 U-Joints in past 2 months

Check drive shaft for large dents. It could be out of balance.

    Is this worth the money?

nobody is selling in Fla. because everyone is offroading. 3500 would be the max for this jeep. I like the cj-5. I would like them even more if wrangler half doors were on it. That hump kills you when your getting in and out alot. 8) They look like a tonka truck with 44's on them. 8)

Is an Axle upgrade really necessary??

torn seat? Ever here an older detroit locker unlock in a turn on dry ground? It sounds like an axel breaking.

Is an Axle upgrade really necessary??

you can run 35's on stock axels. Breakage happens when offroading and under serious load. If your not planing on using fully locked axels with big lugged tires (swampers) and running the Rubicon don't sweat it. If you decide to use the 44 you can always have the axels redrilled to a 5 lug pattern.

    NO accurate speedometer reading!!!!!!!1111

I rotated mine. After the SYE was installed. The teeth weren't making contact. Called JB conversions and they told me to loosen the hold down and rotate the gear. Works fine now.

    Dana 44 question

When I installed mine I had to buy new carrier's to put 4:56's. carrier's are cheap compared to the gear change. Some front 44's also have the vacuum activated shift fork attached. Plan on replacing this because most used ones don't work. I removed mine and positioned the sleeve to engage both...

    NO accurate speedometer reading!!!!!!!1111

Try rotating the speedometer gear a little (clock wise) and see if this changes anything. The gear is offset and you might not be making full contact with the gear in the transfercase.

SYE and still having drive line vibrations?

Did you get the cv style drive shaft? If so.. check to pinion to transfer case angle. The pinion should be pointed straight at the end of the transfercase. Add or remove shims to do this.

    Tire Width vs. Wheel Width

GRRRRRRRRRRRR This site is pissing me off!! You can mount 12.5's on an 8" wheel. I ran this combo for years and put over 100,000 miles on this combo without problems. The benefit is more sidewall bulge and less wheel damage. The only reason I'm running 10" wheels now is for the bigger...

87 Wrangler 4cyl Hyd Slave Clutch Question

I had a new 87 with the same problem. The dealer replaced the slave 3 times in one year. They never could get it right. Swapping over to a 94 with external slave sounds like a cool upgrade. good luck 8)

    Transmission Questions.........

I have a T5 (s10) with the simular problem. Took it apart and found the bearing on the input shaft gone as was the gear on the input shaft. The gear was ground down to the size of a bearing race. Found some rebuild kits on ebay. It doesn't look like it's that hard to rebuild. easier than an...

    LOCKERS???

go with the aussie. Full lockers and 35's will destroy a 30 especially if your making a lot of tight turns with big lug tires. I rather change a cable than a compressor.

    yj motor mount problems

block up the motor/transmission and remove the skid plate. check the rubber mounts for breaks and the bolts attaching to the transmission.

So I got my lift on and now everything is falling apart.

Make sure all suspension componets are tight when the jeep is on the ground.

    T-case output seal

Try sliding a new seal on the drive shaft yoke. If it fits snug it shouldn't leak. The yoke on the drive shaft may be worn.

    T-case???

Anti-Lock Brakes Locking... What happened to the t case? Did you blow the output shaft, chain or what. If you need a new t-case anything out of a YJ will work providing the output shaft has the correct spline count. I think the np 231's have a 31 count on 6cyl's and a 27 count on 4cyl's. Just...
