if there is a 1/4 inch blueing mark { extream heat } on the rotor then you must have been metal to metal this would have been the noise you were hearing. just my thoughts

RE: Suspension suggestions well i wouldnt mind a standard transmission, i just dont know which ones would be the easyiest swap. i hate to spend the money and then find out it wont work. so i still dont know what to think about this torque converter issue. hopeing for some help here. thanks all

RE: Goin well i'm back again. i have an 88 yj sahara . it has the 258 6 cyl in it. the problem is the transmission i had rebuilt last winter. i got a new torque converter with the rebuild. the original tc had no ring gear pressed on the outter part of it. the new one had one on the tc itself...
