would you say that the stock axle shafts in a d30 will handle the 35's? if so upgradeing the shafts and u joints would let you run the 37's??? just a thought
you got lucky my original 88 alt went bad on my way home drove 33 miles with the heater , lights, and radio on befor i realized stuff messing up. had to replace it at -2 degrees in the middle of the night lol not bad for a jeep with 260000 miles on it.
oh one last thing make sure you get the right gauge meaning the resistance from the sending unit could read 0 to 80 ohms so you would a gauge that reads 0 ohms empty and 80 ohms when it is full. this is just an example yours might be different
well in my 88 yj i hooked up an electric gauge to my pink wire comeing from the plug in the back of the panel. get a wireing diagram and trace out the wire to the fuel gauge. if your doing a whole new set of gauges just cut the wire for the sending unit behind the plug in the dash. tap into it...
hmmm but what happens when the rust eats to the edge even with the good metal ? por 15 it and use the degreaser and metal etch you'll be fine if you use the instructions.

i used to work for a tire company. if its a 15 inch rim you can put any 15 inch tire on it. it will just bulge more. but if running low pressures you will run a higher risk of slipping the bead. i found that out on my own... only it took me 4 times to realize it ....hmmm.... i might be getting...
well if the vaccume lines are disconnected and it works in the snow then i would think it already has something done to it. either the flipped fork or tj shafts. i would look into that to figure out what has been done already

i love my squares. and i do agree, they are a dieing breed. not many on the trail at all. i see a few in town but mostly tj's. i really just love parking next to a tj and knowing that car springs are for your wife. lol
