I can't smell you in NJ, Mingez. Didn't Al Gore get a Nobel Prize for inventing the internet?

regarding swapping a yj tub to a cj frame

Look over that 87 tub real good before getting into this project, no sense in just buying a year or so for the work involved. I'm sure you could find a newer tub for a reasonable amount, I believe the tubs got a little better 91 and later. A few things off the top of my head that you'll run...

Take some pics if you can and keep us posted on the project, I'd be interested in seeing a start to finish series.

    CJ7--SBC -- beast header/exhaust combo

Mine are not stainless and I don't recall what I paid for them. Several companies make the style I am referring to in standard, stainless, and ceramic lined. Check Jegs or Summit Racing for pricing. I bought mine from Summit about 4 years ago and they've been pretty good. Suspension lifts don't...

    CJ7--SBC -- beast header/exhaust combo

I've got an 83 with a 350 and I'm running Hooker block hugger style on mine. I've got a 3" lift on my drivetrain but I believe they'll work fine on a "stock" set up. Sorry I can't recommend a muffler - I'm running Moroso's but they're just a bit much on the road. Something with a deep, mellow...

I don't think you'd have much of a problem with the fiberglass with light wheeling. You may have to work with fiberglass a bit depending on the manufacturer. I've heard some are better "bolt-ons" than others. Personally, I'd go with steel unless you plan on keeping it another 25 years. Be sure...

    Another school gun threat...

I'd suggest a weeks worth of art class for that 8th grader. That's a pretty poor drawing.....of anything.

    Turn signal lever...

That screw, or whatever type of pin they are using should be right there. I changed out an ignition switch in my RV and it went smooth and easy. I'm sure you'll figure it out, I've got faith in you.

Wife got Shocked riding her bike. TC?

I remember seeing flourescent light bulbs flicker if you held them up at night around those lines. Pretty cool as a kid.

What does your Jeep do for you?

Well, I now have 2 a CJ and an SJ. The CJ has been sitting a lot lately because of work and the recently purchased boat. The wife has been running the Waggy around town and absolutely LOVES it. Plenty of room for the kids, groceries, dogs, guns, illegal immigrants, YOU NAME IT!! We've been...

    Done with Jeepz.com for Good

Whatever.......we'll be here if you change your mind. I had the same thought one time.......I'm glad that TC changed my mind. I had a lot of things going on in my life then and took it out on something stupid here on Jeepz. Please remember that this is more of a family than a website - we've...

got a 2004 putting in new dana new engine?

Sitting is the worst thing for a vehicle and 4 years is an awfully long time to leave a Jeep mothballed. Why don't you do your Jeep and yourself a favor and send it up here? I could drive it from time to time and do some modifications for you while your gone. I promise you won't even recognize...
