I don't get it, I built my bumpers to stay ON my Jeep. Why would you want to put on a "knock-off" bumper? Is that like a "break-away" mirror? I get so confused with this new technology.

Wouldn't a neutral switch problem not allow the engine to crank? Does it have an idler pulley on it? Check that for the noise if it does.

Rooster hit it right on the head - I'd definitely get a CJ5 box for it as I wouldn't want to screw around with the ratio on that short wheelbase.

My 89 SJ has an access panel under the carpeting. Perhaps the XJ has one as well? If not, why not make one?
