finally got the '84 up here, changing the water pump now.. looking for an idler pulley to replace the A/C pump on the passenger side of the motor, with serpentine pulley..

Get rid of the long shackles.. for starters..

my door locks are a PITA, so, I'm seriously considering solenoids.. get rid of that crap bent round stock that jeep put in the doors.. if its slightly out of angle, your locked out.. or you can't lock it, so... with the push of a button, solenoids work..

I measured my '84 CJ-7 bolt pattern, came up with 5 5 1/4, seems to me every jeep I've owned (which were older) were 5 5 1/2 ? had a friend measure, came up with the same 5 5 1/4 what gives? is there anyway the axles got swapped for some weird abnormal pattern? or am I using a Chinese measuring...

Believe it or not, I was in that bed at 1:15AM when lightning came through my ceiling, hit that ceiling fan and blew everything to hell.. just finished the house, and the lightning took it all down..
