Replace rear wheel cylinders and shoes. Discovers grease in the drivers side drum and axle has about 3/16" play in and out. I think I might have a bearing going bad. I have no noise while driving though.
What auto transmission do you have? Mine is a torqueflight 999. If you could post a couple of pics it would help. I could compare to mine and we could get it figured out. But it does sound like broken shift linkage bracket.
Ok I moved the mount back. This is what it looks like now. The drivers side is still real close to vertical. I moved them back the same amount.
Also removed both track bars. Should I remove the sway bar also?
Thanks for all the help guys. :)
No. I'm positive I didn't switch springs. They are flattened because the shackle is going back against the frame. I'm just wanting to know how to fix it.
I just finished putting on a 3 1/2" lift on the front of my jeep. It already had the shackle reversal kit in it. It seems my shackles want to flip towards the rear and hit the frame. Shouldn't the be angled towards the front? If so how do I get them to go that way? When I put a load on the front...
My '87 is an automatic so I believe the front gears are something like 3.54's. I would like to put 4.11's and an aussie locker. Do I need to change the carrier? And if so where can I get one? I'm installing a ford 8.8 rear end with 4.10's in the rear.
