That does look pretty bad ass, you'd need quite the motor mod to move those tires tho!

So far so good, had it out a couple times, the welder reinforced it pretty well, so don't think it'll go anywhere

They had to straighten out the old one, do some grinding and re-weld

So took it to a welding shop, $250 later he had it buttoned up solid :-) was hard to find a shop that would touch it though!

Ok awesome, so far it's been a great winter, hardly any snow(knock on wood) and fairly warm, how bout with you?

So this control arm bracket has been bent for awhile, and it finally broke today:-( can I weld it back on or am I up shit creek ... Any help or advice would be great! Thanks all :-)

They were willing to cover them under warranty, unfortunately I needed to keep the original packaging to do it! So I'm out another $120, but this time I'm keeping my damn box!

Has any one had trouble with the passenger side low beam light burning out? This is driving me nuts! I installed the H4 hella conversion kit on my 99TJ last spring, and installed PIAA lights, there seems to be an issue with the pass side low beam burning out, I've gone through 3 sets of lights...

I have the XRC8, it's been through hell, never over heated, pulls like a SOB, and was cheap ! Love it, for the price difference I don't think I'd buy a warn ever again, plus smittybuilt founders are guys who used to work at warn and didn't like the price point, so they made their own:-)

Like you said there are many positives by building up your own unit, but it is nice to buy a rig that has some extra goodies, if money isn't an option I'd go with the newer TJ and build away! :-)
