The rotten egg smell isn't what happens when the cat goes bad its more of a combination of unburned additives from the fuel smoldering on the honeycomb inside the cat, try a change in fuel suppliers before replacing the catalytic converter.
The K&N filter is a very worth while investment, just make sure to keep it from getting to built up with grime or you'll never get it clean. And also remember a half dirty air filter works better at trapping particles than a spotlessly clean one (especially a K&N).
If you pull out the factory sender put in a T fitting and put the Autometer sender on one side the factory on the other, you will have no problems with idiot lights and two functioning oil pres. gauges and you laugh like a school girl over how misleading the factory gauge is.
I do know a couple of TJ owners, but talking them into letting me pull off a flare is a little diffucult. and the body indentions are not a problem I'm in the middle of a frame off and a couple more imperfections are no problem. anything will be easier than the floor replacement was.

I know that the factory TJ fender flares will fit (with trimming) on a '76 and later CJ, but will they fit on a 75 without cutting out the inner fenders in the tub?
