hey that sucks anyway someone told me that any small block chevy motor will bolt up to the transmission with a conversion plate. so i think imma get chevy'd up and ditch that lil 2.8. thanx anyway
thats good cause im considering buying a motor from a 95 xj 4.oL H.O. inline 6, the guy said it was an auto so im also wondering if it will bolt up to my manual trans on my 86..... whattaya think?
hey, i'm in the market for a motor and trans to do a swap on my 86 cherokee pioneer 2.8L v6 and i was wondering if anyone knew what motor would be the best/easiest swap. i kinda want something newer and a little bigger any ideas? thanx -jason
oh thats a little far im in cali, new cat and muffler for that jeep will be about $120 at the auto parts store.its illegal for a junk yard to sell used cat, but the muffler with pipes is like $20. hope that helps. -jason
its got the 2.8 6, the engine and trans where both rebuilt about 6 years ago by someone else, its been sittin the whole time and i just now droped 3 bills in it to get it to run but its not runnin right.
hey, i'm seeking confirmation on a problem with my 86 pioneer... it lost its balls somewhere. when i drive it uphill it winds out in second at about 20 mph and third bogs so hard it stalls. i was told it may be stuck in a transfer gear, but im not too familiar with that... somebody know anything...
