He might be trying to reel you in, but that doesn't mean he isn't right. Lots of times the code that the ECM throws is more a clue to the problem than the problem itself. Do you have a garage and a few hours? You can test the injectors fairly easily with an air compressor and some simple hoses...

Start, or jump the jeep, then check the voltage on the battery terminals with a volt-meter. ( you can get a cheap one from Walmart) You should have 13.8 volts or more when the jeep is running. If not, it is your alternator. That's what I am betting; it sounds like your alternator has gone bad.

I almost always wave. But generally JKs don't return the wave. Perhaps they think they are too cool to wave to a YJ, but I wave at them just the same. :-) YJs and CJs almost always wave. TJs about 50/50.
