99 and later shield and tank are removed as one unit, remove nuts from the straps retaining fuel tank to shield and separate tank from shield. Not that I've done it before but this is from the book. Sorry didn't have illustration in book. Wasn't much help but hopefully a little help
My only concern would this being a precursor to a failing or failed unit/sensor and if it's reading correctly. I would start testing my coolant system, sensors ect
Drag link tie rod end separated while taking a corner into my alley. Tied it to get to driveway. It was dry, wouldn't take grease Could have been worse
I would maybe read up on it a little. I went with 85 so I wasn't having to play with mixtures and did good for my dsm. My buddy just added 1 bottle of syncro stuff with his fluid. Depends on kind of driving cconditions and other factors I guess. If you want to spend the money, have at 'er but if...
+1 on the redline products. Mt90 is thicker mt80 mtl is thinner mt85 is middle of the road. If you want to play with it you can mix mt90 and mtl for a mixture that works for your trans. I used mt85 and it fixed some notchiness and my not going into 1st issue, sometimes had to double clutch from...
Vacuum lines can get old, soft, cracked and cause vacuum leaks by a poor seal and can definitly cause poor fuel mileage. As simple as inspecting them
Not that this is your issue but as a example I replaced seals/gasket in my throttle body because of vacuum leaks, on my laser, just replacing my...
Throwing ideas out there. White smoke to me indicates your head gasket along with oil consumption and no leak found. But still take a good look for illusive leaks, t-belt and cover, gaskets ect. Take a good look at oil, greenish bubbles on dipstick will indicate coolant in oil and check coolant...
Some say to prime lash adjusters, but when running should fill with oil. I didn't and had a terrible clacking until they filled and it eased off. But you said they were new, so unless they are defective or if the bleed is stuck open(if there is one) You could try bleeding and prime them, if...
Hopefully this helps. First pic 42\44Re second pic AW-4 transmission
Sorry about bad pics, crappy tablet
Located underneath drivers side of dashboard, to the left of the steering column
Should be 99-04. My manual doesn't show any difference. To confirm that you can call a parts store, they should be able to give you a definite answer on this
New to jeep motors so question, are any of these an interference motor? Meaning will the valves tap the pistons if it out of time? That being said I would check timing and related components and water pump. Some seals may be dried up so you'll have to keep an eye out for oil leaks as well as...
