try a seafoam treatment to clean out your engine as best you can.. since its a CJ5 i doubt you have a bunch of useless sensors causing issues, so it may be a carb issue.. or youre losing compression in the engine itself... could also be electrical.. does it start back up after it stalls or is it...

sounds like a lot of work for a relatively small increase in travel and a greater loss in strength and reliability vs leaf springs... never seen anything wrong with YJs... seems for the price going into putting links and coils on a YJ, one could just keep that, sell the YJ, and get a TJ

aah, apparently theres an adapter that allows the weber carb to be fitted to the vintage jeep.. my guess its probably the same 1 barrel carb available for later model jeeps

apparently, weber does make a carb for the vintage jeeps, as well as the solex which seems to be pretty common, and the origional weber i created this post because i used the search feature and cant find anything too related.. so i made it so that in the future it may help others too...

seems to me the small changes made in the CJ3B were really good ones, and though ive heard it called an "ugly duckling", i rather like the aesthetics of it, and it seems like a comfortable compromise between vintage jeeps, and later ones... i think this is the route ill go

superj, its a CJ3B in that photo, the one with the taller hood to make room for the hurricane engine and as it stands im really starting to focus in on the MB or CJ3B.. i would sand off and remove all the rust from the frame and body... por 15 the entire thing most likely, then top coat it all...
